Low Income Housing Guide

Income restricted & income based housing can be a lifeline for you.  Applying for assistance may require a lot of steps with the potential for getting waitlisted.  Here is a free guide to help you find; up to date information on income restricted apartments and who qualifies for them.  You will also find lists with descriptions of the types of housing subsidies.  There is a step-by-step guide on how to find and apply for income restricted housing and preparations to move into an income restricted apartment.

Assistive Technology Lending Library

The Assistive Technology Lending Library is available to any individual that resides

in Iowa and is a short-term 30-day loan trial. An individual can borrow up to five devices at a time and can borrow an unlimited number of devices in any given year.  See items available

LIHEAP - Energy Assistance Program

Are you at risk of having your utilities shut off?  Help is available through a government program called LIHEAP which is administered by the Community Action Agencies in local communities.  Each year, LIHEAP-qualified households may receive a one-time payment to assist with their household heating costs, regardless of heating fuel type.
